How I’m staying grounded through grief, pain, and fatigue—and how you can too

🌞 Summer Reset: Radiate from the Inside Out

Lately, life has been heavy.
Not in a dramatic, world-falling-apart kind of way… but in that slow, quiet weight that builds in your body and spirit. The kind of weight you carry while still smiling. Still showing up. Still pushing through.

Since my mom passed, I’ve been moving through layers of grief—not just for her absence, but for the parts of me she never really saw, and forgiving her judgments. There’s also been the anticipatory grief of watching my father-in-law decline. And if that wasn’t enough, pinched nerves in my back have made simple tasks feel like mountains.

I’ve been tired.
Not just physically, but soul-deep tired.
And yet… somehow, I’ve stayed grounded.
I’ve stayed healthy, even when people around me were getting sick.
I’ve kept showing up. Not perfectly—but with presence.

The truth? I credit it to five simple pillars I call Health BEAMS.

The BEAMS Method: My Lifeline in Difficult Seasons

BEAMS isn’t a diet, a detox, or a plan to “fix” yourself.
It’s a rhythm—a way of returning to what really matters when everything else feels overwhelming.

  • B – Balanced Nutrition: Nourishing your body with foods that energize and heal, without shame or restriction.

  • E – Enjoyable Exercise: Moving in ways that feel joyful, empowering, and aligned with your season of life.

  • A – Aloha Friends: Surrounding yourself with people who see you, support you, and lift your spirit.

  • M – Mindful Living: Slowing down, tuning in, and listening to what your body and soul actually need.

  • S – Sustainable Environment: Creating systems and surroundings that help you feel safe, supported, and in flow.

☀️ Why Summer Is the Perfect Time to Reset

Summer invites us to slow down and soften.
It’s a season of barefoot mornings, fresh foods, sun-kissed skin, and space to breathe.
It’s also the perfect time to gently realign your life—without forcing anything.

This week on the Radiate Health and Wellness Podcast, I’m kicking off a brand new Summer Reset Series.
Each episode will focus on one BEAMS pillar, with personal reflections, gentle tools, and simple practices to help you reconnect with yourself—no matter what you’re carrying.

🌿 Come Walk With Me

If you’ve been feeling off—emotionally tired, physically drained, or spiritually disconnected—I invite you to join me.
This reset isn’t about being better.
It’s about coming home to yourself.
